Web Design Capabilities
Shown are several representative sites to demonstrate my web design capabilities. Clicking the image will take you to the site or an example of the site (Beacon Falls is still on "hold").

I did the original TBL layout. However, people were still coming to this site for updates...and I stopped maintaining the site. So, I simply have a quick shot of the banner.
This site is another that I designed but do not maintain (another firm does that). What was interesting on this site is that Larry Fabian told me, with no apologies to Henry Ford, I could design it in any color I wanted, as long as it was green.
My design principles follow the KISS idea: Keep It Simple, Stupid:
- An easy-to-navigate site is superior to a cluttered site.
- An easy-to-read page is remembered, recalled and revisited more often than a poorly written page.
- Animations are nice but should not be overused, as they can become annoying very rapidly. Graphics should be easy to understand.
- Buttons should be made self-explanatory by using text on them or near them.
- Break one large page into several smaller pages.
- Every principle listed here has one intent: to help your audience find what they want on your site!
While these parameters are basic design common sense, surf the web for a few minutes and note how many sites don't meet these criteria. If you want your site designed with your audience in mind, contact me.
